The Story Behind Artistry Imperial

Artistry Imperial is a professional children’s book illustration team working with storytellers and publishers since 2016. The team collaborates with authors, self-publishers, and publishing houses to turn ideas into vivid visual stories — crafted one illustration at a time. It is not a production factory, but a small, close-knit women-led team of artists who work together with care, creativity, and attention to detail. Every project is handled as a unique piece of art by the team.

Where It All Started — From Tapestry to Children’s Books

Long before Artistry Imperial came into existence, its creative roots were shaped through the art of weaving gobelin tapestries — large, intricate works that often took months to complete. Thread by thread, color by color, each piece required a level of patience and precision that only true craftsmanship can teach.

In 2016, the studio began its journey, initially as a solo creative practice focused on children’s book illustration. It brought together classical fine art training and a deep passion for storytelling, allowing ideas to be expressed through visual narrative.

The shift from physical tapestry to digital and traditional illustration felt seamless. The patience was already there. The eye for color and composition was already developed. Only the canvas had changed.

Long before Artistry Imperial came into existence, its artistic roots were formed through the creation of gobelin tapestries — large, intricate works that could take months to complete. Thread by thread, color by color, each piece required a level of patience and discipline that few crafts demand.

In 2016, Artistry Imperial began its journey as a solo creative practice focused on children’s book illustration, blending classical fine art training with a deep love for storytelling. It was a natural evolution — moving from physical tapestry to digital and traditional illustration.

Creation First, Always

In an industry often driven by speed and volume, Artistry Imperial follows a different philosophy. For us, relationships always come first — both with the artists we work with and the clients we serve — because that connection is what brings each story to life.

We don’t rush projects just to meet arbitrary deadlines, and we don’t compromise quality for the sake of efficiency. Every children’s book illustration created in our studio represents thoughtful collaboration, countless hours of artistic dedication, and a deep respect for the story behind it.

Over the years, this approach has earned consistent 5-star feedback across platforms like Google, Thumbtack, and Facebook. When the work is handled with care, the results naturally speak for themselves.

Where It All Started — From Tapestry to Children’s Books

Here’s a refined and smoother version with improved flow and no personal name reference, keeping it cohesive and brand-ready:

Long before Artistry Imperial came into existence, its artistic foundation was shaped through the craft of weaving gobelin tapestries — large, intricate works that could take months to complete. Thread by thread, color by color, each piece demanded a level of patience and precision that only true craftsmanship develops over time.

In 2016, the studio began its journey as a solo creative practice focused on children’s book illustration, blending classical fine art training with a deep passion for storytelling. It marked a natural evolution from tapestry to illustration, where the same artistic principles found a new medium of expression.

The patience was already there. The eye for color and composition was already established. Only the canvas had changed.

Real Books, Real Readers, Real Impact

The most rewarding part of our work is not the illustration itself — it is seeing a finished book in the hands of a child who simply cannot put it down.

Over the years, Artistry Imperial has contributed artwork to dozens of published children’s books, working with both debut self-published authors and established publishing houses. Our illustrations have appeared at book signings, been showcased at literary events, and, most importantly, become part of bedtime stories in homes around the world.

A Style Rooted in Classical Art, Built for Modern Stories

Our illustration style is rooted in strong classical fine art foundations, featuring rich color palettes, expressive characters, and thoughtful compositions that naturally guide the reader through each page.

Working across watercolor, digital, and mixed media, we adapt our approach to suit each story while maintaining a consistent sense of warmth and emotion — a signature quality that defines the studio’s visual identity.

Artistry Imperial

Artistry Imperial is a professional children’s book illustration studio that was started by the team in 2016. It is a close-knit, women-led creative team with roots in traditional tapestry weaving and fine art. With over a decade of experience in visual storytelling, the team collaborates with authors and publishers around the world to bring ideas to life through illustrations.

The team works closely on every project, guiding creative direction, supporting artists, and ensuring each illustration meets the high standards established since their first children’s book commission in 2016.

Outside of studio work, the team draws inspiration from travel, traditional textile art, and a shared belief that creativity grows best in an environment built on trust, respect, and collaboration.
